Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

2005 Suzuki Reno Owner Comments

problem #1

Sep 172007

Reno 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,000 miles

The contact owns a 2005 Suzuki Reno. While driving 10-15 mph, the contact drove over a nail and a tire flattened. The vehicle has carlisle, size 195/55R15 tires. He does not know if the tires were the original or replacement tires. The tires were inspected and it was determined that all four needed to be replaced. The contact replaced the two front tires at that time and plans to replace the rear tires soon. Other than the internal and external sidewall fractures found on the tires, black rubber residue was also found on the inside of the tires. He still has the tires and can take pictures. The current and failure mileages were 32,000.
