Car needed inspection and mechanic failed it due to holes in the frame. He said there was extensive rust of frame near the catalytic converters.

Second year in a row I had holes from rust in the frame. This time ahead of the last fix. Welded a plate over the holes after grinding away the rust and sprayed with rust inhibitor. I was told to get rid of the car because the body on the underside is also seeing extensive rust. Engine and transmission are great and I love this truck for its hauling and off road capabilities. Its a man's truck for sure.

premature frame rust for mileage of vehicle--it is an 02 and currently has 92,000 miles on it. this is where rear control arms come forward to mount on welded on frame pieces. I've heard these can break off going down the road. went to toyota, they will do nothing.
