Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Front windshield cracked along base above the windshield de-icing heater element overnight. Crack was approximately 3 feet long. Car was driven lightly ~10 miles at 30 mph on Friday, Nov 9, 2103 and parked outside at 10 pm. High daytime temp was 53 F. low temperature was 35 overnight according to Crack was noticed at 8:30 am on Saturday, Nov 10th, 2013. There was no frost or condensation on the windshield at that time. There were no noticed cracks, dings or defects at the failure location.
