My Infotainment screen is flickering but mostly blank. This includes my backup camera, which I think creates a dangerous situation while backing up. All infotainment functions work, including the stereo, but you are mostly unable to select any functions since they are not visible.
I think that the cost of a new system is outrageous and not something that I should have to purchase because of this defect!
I noticed another complaint about this same issue - while driving, the entire electronic panel that controls the radio, navigation, rear view camera and other functions will freeze and then restart. When it freezes it causes a loss of control over the system controls - you cannot change volume, turn off the radio, none of the buttons on the screen work, can switch screens, etc. This has been addressed on multiple forums but Toyota doesn't seem to want to address a possible recall. It isn't obvious what is causing the system to freeze for multiple minutes at a time.
