As Mr. Lee, my mother's Toyota (now mine), was taken in for the recall of the airbag. When finished the airbag light stays on, they stated it has nothing to do with the airbag, and by completing the recall, this did not generate the problem. The dealership tore the seat apart, attempting to find an electrical problem, all to no avail. They actually paid for the what they thought was going to be a correction, but they could not find what was causing the issue. I'm still not sure if the airbag is working correctly, and is definitely annoying.

Brought 2004 Avalon in for recall regarding Air Bag problem. After recall work was done, light was still coming on. Discussed situation with service manager. They said if I wanted to go further, I would have to pay. Recall would not cover extra cost. I gave the OK to diagnose further. Cost me $240. Light for air bag went off, and I thought that was it. Today, two weeks later, light coming on and off again. Who pays to fix this now? Me?
