Complaint to the administrator: SRS & ECU recall notice: "original remedy for this safety recall (Toyota #E0G), announced in March, 2014." I received the "urgent safety recall" notice on April 3, 2015. Your website today gives: NHTSA recall number: 15V043 / recall date: January 27, 2015 / manufacturer recall number: Esg, and states under remedy that when a remedy becomes available, Toyota will update. My printed notice from Toyota says: "we will send you another notification once these preparations are complete." I have not rec'd anything from Toyota. So it has been more than two years I have been driving a possibly unsafe vehicle.

Toyota has issued a recall for the supplemental restraint system and electronic control unit in March 2015. Toyota says that there is no remedy available. I am very concerned about my airbags deploying accidentally. I do not feel that Toyota is taking my safety or my family's safety seriously. The recall I received clearly states that they know how to fix the problem "replacement of the SRS ECU is now also required for this safety recall to be complete, " it just seems that they won't. it has been over a year that I have been driving a car in which I am not confident. Please make Toyota execute this recall in a more timely manner.

2004 Toyota Avalon -receive a notice of a problem with the supplemental restraint system(SRS) electronic control unit (ECU). The original "fix" for this problem (deemed an "urgent safety recall" by Toyota) was announced in Mar, 2014. It was later found that this "fix" did not do the job.a 2nd recall (dated Jan 27th, 2015)was issued. To date, the recall has a status of "remedy not available". I consider this to be reprehensible!! the recall id is 15V043. I have called Toyota on several occasions and I get the same response.... "we will contact you when a remedy is available."

The air bag warning indicator of my car lights up on a regular basis. The vehicle owner's manual states clearly that if this happens, the vehicle must be taken to a Toyota dealer for service. I took the vehicle to a local Toyota dealer, and the service representative informed me that they could solve that problem by replacing the air bag control module, or by changing the cable that connects the module to the accompanying air bag devices. Because the service department didn't have a replacement control module available, they replaced only the connecting cable. After the visit to the dealer, the air bag warning indicator didn't light. However, a few weeks later, the warning indicator began lighting occasionally, and as time passed, the indicator again began lighting regularly. When I called the Toyota dealer to report this condition, the dealer told me to call Toyota directly for more information. The representative at Toyota said that they had issues a recall notice, but a solution to the problem wasn't available, and they would notify me when it became available. In the meantime, I continue to see the air bag warning indicator lamp lighting almost all the time. I am very concerned that Toyota is attempting to avoid the cost of replacing the defective air bag control modules, and instead trying to find a less expensive alternative. I find this behavior dangerous on the part of Toyota and want them to own up to the issue and provide a timely solution to this dangerous situation.
