One day while I was driving, I took a turn a bit too fast. After the turn, I went up a hill and all of a sudden I see the "BRAKE" light turn on the dash. This freaked me out so badly. I quickly pulled over and then I set the brake the I un-set it. The car drives fine after that.
A few weeks later I took the rear rotors off to shave them down a bit and my brake shoes are almost shot! I then had the car inspected and the place adjusted the brake cable since it was loose. Everything seemed to be alright and then while I was stopping at a stop sign getting ready to pull out of my neighborhood. Then out of the blue, the light came on and stayed on for a good 20 minutes. Also, it will turn on for like 5 seconds then turn off if you stop the car too quickly or if you brake hard, or just stopping normally at a stop sign or a red light. Finally, the parking brake does not hold if you don't pull it up all of the way, but that should not be turning the light on while driving!
I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT!!! IT'S SO ANNOYING!!!!!! IVE PUT ENOUGH MONEY INTO THIS CAR TO NOT HAVE ANY LIGHTS COME ON!!! Please tell me whats wrong with it!
Update from Jan 23, 2019: (Pennsylvania winter is harsh to our vehicles) Brake light turns on immediately on startup and does not shut off until the engine is warm or it turns off randomly.
Update from Nov 21, 2019: 11/20/19
Unplugged brake fluid sensor (on side of the master cylinder) and "BRAKE" warning light finally turned off!!! It will come back on ONLY if the E-Brake is set or the sensor is plugged back in. I CAN GET MY INSPECTION DONE NOW!!!
