Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

2010 Toyota Camry. Consumer requests assistance with a reconsideration of interest rate and repair issue with vehicle the consumer stated she took the vehicle to the dealer due to a noise that was occurring right after she started the vehicle and put it in drive. The noise existed from the time she purchased the vehicle. The explanation she received was that all Camry's made that noise as it came from the braking system engaging. The consumer requested to ride in another Camry to compare the sounds as her vehicle was very loud. The service manager was unable to locate the same braking system on the lot. The service manager then stated he would open a technical assistance system case and when a specialist was in the area, they would have him inspect the vehicle. The manager contacted the consumer and informed her, the specialist would not be inspecting the vehicle as they had received several complaints and they determined the problem to be the ABS actuator, but there was no fix at the moment.
