When driving at night there is a dark shadow that is on the windshield and it moves up and down, bounce's as you hit bumps on the road. It is very hard to see and I'm afraid it is going to cause me to have an accident. I took the car to the dealer but they can't find anything wrong. They called the manufacturer and they said it may be due to having something dangling form the review window causing a reflection. I took everything off even the ez-pass and it did not improve. this is a serious problem and someone needs o figure out what is going on.

Camry SE Automatic 4 cyl

I purchased my 2012 Toyota Camry SE in July - 2012. It was over a month before I drove it at night. I was completely shocked by the poor vision in the dark area I was in. As stated in the other complaint my vision was inhibited by a dark shadow 3/4 of the length down the windshield. I immediately contacted the dealership who looked at the car and said they could not adjust the lights any more than they did. The little adjustment made no difference and my 2nd trip to the dealership I complained again - Again, nothing they could do about it. I expressed my concerns about not being able to see more than 10 feet ahead - complaints dismissed. This past Friday I escaped a near fatal accident. I never saw the parked car sticking out into the road on the on ramp which I know is due to the poor vision I complained about. Needless to say, I slammed into the parked car which put my car on two wheels and it careened out of control heading towards merging traffic. By God's grace the car suddenly turned inward and I was in the air and landed in the snow on the side of the road. Toyota must fix this problem before someone is killed.

Camry XLE 3.5L V6

We are having a problem with the line of vision and sight impaired by totally dark situations on the road. By this we mean unlit areas, dark roads running on low beam lights hampered by what appears as if a drape or curtain come down over the windshield at least 3/4 of the way from top to bottom. Foul weather further deepens this problem such as rain, fog, combinations. Its more pronounced in downhill situations, somewhat like driving into dark depths, going uphill slightly improves the situation. High beams totally brightens the area, oncoming traffic, street lights, well lit areas take away the drape over the windshield. Unfortunately you don't see stop signs, street signs or deer until you are almost on top of them with the low beams, this creates a hazard. We can't drive on these country roads with our high beams on all the time as the oncoming traffic would be blinded by them. I feel it is definitely a hazard to drive this car at night. I feel this is a design flaw of this car.
