I had no problems with my 2015 Toyota Camry SE that does not even have 90,000 miles on it, and then I started experiencing a shutter when driving between 25 and 50mph. It feels like you are driving over rumble sticks in the roadway, or an abnormal shaking. There is no warning light illuminated on my dashboard ex: engine light. If I take my foot of the accelerator pedal the shutter/shaking would stop or if I pushed on the accelerator to go faster, it will come out of the shutter/shaking also. While I was getting an oil change at the Toyota dealership, I spoke with the Toyota customer service representative about the closed recall (T-SB-0312-17) for this issue on 2012-2014 Toyota Camry's while doing research on this issue and I was told that Toyota has no plans on doing another recall because they have fixed the problem and I would have to have the car fixed myself which could cost upwards of $3,000 out of pocket. Why should a customer have to pay hundreds of dollars to have their car diagnosed for a known problem based on internet forums and other Toyota complaints. The engine light is not on, so a code may not even show up. I cannot afford to pay that, and Toyota should stand by their vehicles, stop giving customers the run around and do another recall as this is a big safety issue of faulty parts which can cause a major accident if the car loses power and stalls.

The torque converted on the 2015 Camry is failing. This was a known defect on the 2012-2014 models. Toyota offered a recall on those models but not the 2015. Many other owners are also reporting a faulty torque converter on their cars. The is the exact same issue as the previous model year but Toyota is not covering the defect. This poses a major safety risk as acceleration is inconsistent and compromised while driving the vehicle. Eventually this will lead to complete transmission failure while driving the vehicle which again poses a major safety risk.

My 2015 Toyota Camry has been experiencing a shudder between the speeds of 30-40 MPH. I am now experiencing it between 50-60 MPR and it's a heavier shudder. I am learning from research that is the torque converter which was covered under warranty for Camrys made in 2012 to 2014 but NOT 2015. My car was purchased in January of 2015 so I consider this made under that recall time frame. My vehicle is starting to get worse and I don't know what will happen when it gets even worse. I have had my vehicle looked at by two mechanics who have told me this is what it is and to call Toyota about it. I am in that process right now. No warning lights have come on for this issue. This is very concerning and I am super disappointed so far seeing that Toyota has not warrantied the 2015 model year. I love my Camry minus this HUGE problem.

Over this past year my power steering light flickered on and off randomly and my radio/lights will turn off completely while driving. Over the last 30 days it has been difficult to turn my car, especially in slow or tight turns and the car make a loud humming/grinding sound in turns.

When driving the car and accelerating, notice a slight shudder. When the torque converter is locked, the shutter goes away. It does this when accelerating frequently. When I fell the shudder, if I increase acceleration, the shudder stops. I suspect the problem is with the torque converter.

Purchased a used 2015 Camry SE shortly after purchasing the vehicle the drivability has been becoming a escalating concern. While accelerating when the car will shudder between 1000 & 2000 RPM mostly between 25-45 mph. Have tried the relearn process 3X then when that has proven not to work (shudder starts to happen minutes after relearn). Took the vehicle in to the dealership for a diagnosis which cost $160. Diagnosed with a bad torque converter. Repair estimates $2450. 46. major safety concerns because of the loss of power while driving and the erratic shifting of gears

The car has 32K miles on it. When the speed reaches around 32 there's a shudder/vibration which is accompanied by RPM drop before shifting to next gear. When trying to maintain the speed around 42/43 (inner roads), 62/65 (freeways) torque convertor locks up accompanied by lower RPM and the shudder/vibration begins which is clearly felt on gas pedals, steering wheels and doors and feel like driving on bumpy road, the only way to get out of the vibration is to either give more power/acceleration so that it releases lock up and shifts gears (or) just release the gas pedal so that it slows down and comes out of lock-up. When vibration happens, giving power/pressing accelerator will increase the vibration with no increase in speed until it shifts to other gears, checked with a couple of dealers to get an opinion but the answer I am getting is there is no code in the health check and they cannot do anything without any code or check engine light. One technician admitted that its torque convertor lockup vibration. They will not diagnose or perform any other operations without any code or its completely broken. Torque converter replacement will cost around 3K based on dealer info. Based on Toyota's internet forums and other complaints in this seems to be a common problem with torque convertor and Toyota should come forward to replace it or fix it similar to their 2014/2014.5 models, which are supposed to be fixed with the 2015 models. Thanks

I previously made a complaint about my 2015 Toyota Camry. I attached a copy of my complaint to this complaint. I am now experiencing loss of power while I drive from the torque converter shudder issue I am having. Car is shaking rather than a vibration now between speed of 40mph to 50mph. This is unsafe

My car started a having a vibration/shudder while being driven on the street and freeway from speeds of 25mph to 50mph. This happens every time while driving straight and on turns. I thought maybe it was the transmission but after I looked online to see if anyone else has had this issue I learned there are a lot of people with the same problem. I have the same exact symptoms as they do. Its seems to be the torque converter. I looked up the history of this torque problem and it goes back as far as 2011 for Toyota Camry. I need this fix by Toyota and Toyota should honor given that the issue was not fix from the previous year model.

2015 Camry has experienced exactly the same torque converter shudder issues described in the 2012-2014 models that were covered under a recall. This year is not covered because Toyota has said they fixed the issue on this year. Started out with shudder around 25-30mph, now it's also happening around 35-45mph, vehicle will also rev out in gear giving no acceleration. Now this car is barely even drivable. The transmission is shifting up to the highest gears even when speed is very low, as though you were driving a manual transmission vehicle at 15mph in fifth gear. The only temporary solutions that helped and now no longer will, were punching the throttle during a shudder to downshift, or downshifting in the manual mode. Unhooking the battery to drain the system power to put the vehicle back into learning mode, which helped for several hours until the vehicle went right back to the same issues. Currently the vehicle limps around with any type of driving, shifts to gears that are too high for the appropriate speed with dangerously sluggish acceleration or none at all, and shudders in two speed ranges.

When I accelerate to about 40 mph there is shudder and rough ride like running over rough road. The car has 79,500 miles on it. The Toyota dealer says the problem is the torque converter. I have seen other reports of the problem on the internet.one person indicated it might need a software update but that is the only report like that I have seen. The dealer, team Toyota of princeton says it will be a $2,880 repair. Based on additional internet reports this seems to be a common problem.

2015 Toyota Camry SE the vehicle shudders when L accelerate between 20-25 mph and 40-50mph. Lt appears quickly and go away when you accelerate over stated mph. My has about 95,000 miles on it. Have took the car to several shops, was told its the torque converter. There was software update and recall on 12-14 Camry on this same issue, thought Toyota would have fix this issue before the rolled out 2015S. Toyota needs a software update and recall on the 2015 Camry for anyone having this issues.
