During hotter months of the year, the car wants to die when I push the accelerator in. Usually, it is when it first starts and engine is cold; I will back up out of the parking space, push gas pedal and it starts to go forward and then stalls. However, it has done it on the road before after the engine was already warmed up and I had been driving for several minutes (scary). It also did this weird surge thingy a couple of times, when I had stopped, waiting to turn right onto a busy road. It suddenly surges forward (very scary).
The weird "surge" thing has gotten better and only did it a couple of times. The other issue where it wants to die has gotten better (over the course of 3 years), but still wants to a little bit in warmer weather. Not sure what the issue is or how to fix it. Car is way beyond the warranty (of course), but overall has been a good little car (about 190,000 miles and counting).
If anyone knows how to fix, please post a comment. Thanks.
