Shortly after the "1 year warranty" period, the spring/hinge on the storage compartment door stopped working. Either the spring fell off inside the console area or the frail plastic hinge itself got damaged or broke. Now the storage door constantly stays open and gets in the way. I tried putting Velcro (tm) on the top of the door but it wouldn't stay stuck to the console's plastic vinyl. It is just annoying.
