Corolla S Premium 1.8L

  • CVT transmission
  • 30,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Purchased used 2015 Corolla S Premium at 25,000 miles. No noises at all. By 30,000 miles, an intermittent & unpredictable mild rattle sound is heard in the driver side dash. The sound is not very loud but is very aggravating to me because you can definitely hear it. If you press down on the driver side dash with medium hand pressure, the rattle stops until you release the pressure. It rattles less than 50% of days but when the rattle occurs, I can hear it above the radio.

I took the car in to the local Toyota dealer while the 36,000 mile warranty was still in effect. They heard nothing which is what I figured would happen because the noise is very unpredictable. It will go several days without making any sound. On the days it decides to rattle, it infuriates me. I'm headed to YouTube to search for help. My cell is 205-305-1788 if you have a definite solution, text me.

If it was an American brand - Chevy, Ford, Dodge - I would expect this sort of problem. It comes with the territory. American interiors have been crap for as long as I've been driving them. Look at the cheap interiors on C5 Corvettes for a prime example. However, I don't expect this sort of problem with Toyota. You pay more for these vehicles as compared to their direct competitor, supposedly because their quality makes them worth it. But this sort of issue, which may seem minor, makes me wonder if they truly are the value they claim to be.

Corolla S 50 Anniversary Edition 1.8L V4

  • CVT transmission
  • 16,156 miles

I bought brand new 2015 Toyota Corolla S trim 50th Anniversary Edition. Everyone expects to be a brilliant quality when they decided to purchase a brand new vehicle, but unfortunately there are a lot of rattling noises in a brand new car went to Toyota, but even they couldn't figured out where that rattling noise is from.

Also, on a passenger side underneath the dashboard there is one plastic cover that is hanging all the time if anyone owns this model can check that it is not properly tighten, and has no grip to hold the plastic locks into it.

Armrest is also fixed, and not movable back and forth to adjust your elbow.

Very disappointed!

Noise started first month of purchase. The noise started, stopped, and was most heard on cold mornings. The noise comes & go. There are now two to three different noises coming from dash board area that come & go. During the summer months I didn't hear any noise other than slight vibration sound. Now that the cold months are back every morning on my way to work the noise is bad. Some evenings the noise is there too. I now have around 8000 miles on car, been driving it now for 11 months & I finally called to complain & took my car to dealership & was told to be more careful about what I put in glove box.

Service adviser told me some articles in glove box were making the noise, but when I picked my car up no one was there to show me what articles were causing the noise. I took everything out of glove box, the noise was still there on my way home from dealership. The noise is still there every morning on my way to work. I'm so upset! This is my fourth Corolla, I really like my car, but can't deal with the noise. I don't want anyone riding with me. It's embarrassing! Yes I drive a new car that sounds like a old one. I'm at the point of wanting them to take the car back if they can't make the noise go away.

There's an annoying rattle sound on the driver door and on the dashboard, I took it 4 times to the dealer to fix it, but nothing worked, last time I got a rental car, same model, Toyota Corolla, and ...same sound, this is a mistake in that model, I very upset because I didn't expect this problems with a brand new car. And the dealer told me today that the sound is "normal" Horrible customer service in Orlando Fl

Corolla S Plus 1.8L I4

  • CVT transmission
  • 1,000 miles

There are so many little rattles in this car, it's unbelievable. I just took it in for its first oil change and told the dealer about the one really bad squeaking sound. I even took one of their techs on a test drive with me. He did hear the noise.

When my vehicle was ready, the service adviser at Marion Toyota told me that two other techs had driven my car and they decided it wasn't an issue. I have to disagree. My car has less than 10,000 miles and sounds like it's 10 years old. It IS an issue.

I'm wishing I had shopped around some more before I decided on this car.

Drivers side dashboard vibrates and rattles. I have taken it to the shop but they can't seem to find the issue. I have already looked, it seems to be an issue with all Corolla's. It's just annoying!
