CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2010 Highlander's rear liftgate thinks it's open when it's closed and then once it's actually open, you might not be able to shut it again. Remember folks, if your liftgate is stuck open for more than 4 hours, consult your mechanic.

2010 Toyota Highlander Sport- All of a sudden I pulled out of my drive way and the tone and car dome lights went off?! I made a turn at an intersection and the same thing happened and I noticed that on the Indication screen it said that my "Rear Gate" is open. So now every time I make a turn or go over a bump this happens. MY REAR GATE IS NOT OPEN!!!

Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it? Is there a recall? Can I be apart of the class action suit? Help....!!!!
