The check engine light came on, so I took the vehicle into the dealership. The following problems were indicated by the trouble codes: Brake system malfunction; Canister pump off; Evaporative system problem; low flow; etc. Because of the faulty errors, the check engine light was on and I had no: cruise control; Vehicle stability control' and 4 wheel drive, not to mention the other potential failures listed above.
They reset the codes (and some other things, which they didn't tell me), and I drove the car home.
Eight (8) days later, the same problem occurred. I had to take the car back to have the canister pump (which wasn't working 8 days earlier) and canister replaced. Why didn't they fix these things the week before?
I'm tired of taking my $30,000 new car into the shop for repairs it shouldn't be having after only 6 months of driving. Toyota, I'll probably never buy another new car from you again. I never had so many problems with the junk chevys, fords and chrysler products I've owned.
