Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owned a 2016 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that when the brake pedal was depressed, all of the air bags deployed without warning. As a result, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle and the front passenger air bag deployed and metal fragments ejected from the air bags along with a yellow powder. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries reported. The vehicle was towed to an auto body shop where it was deemed destroyed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 700.

The contact owns a 2016 Toyota Rav4. While driving approximately 30 mph, another vehicle crashed into the front driver side of the contact's vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The driver and passenger sustained multiple injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
