Remote controlled rear vision mirror quit folding, against or away as designed. Service writer at Toyota refused repair unless owner paid $450. Repairs not performed since mirrors remained focused. In June 2011, the mirror on the passenger side front door began folding back and forth with the wind, about an inch from mechanical failure. Mirror designed without a way to stop mirror from folding. Vehicle has zero accidents, mirror has never been damaged or repaired and folding option rarely used since new. How many Toyota's are being driven with unreliable vision due to faulty mirrors that will not lock into place?
