Bought the 2015 Sienna brand new. Within 400 miles after purchase noticed a substantial chip in the paint on the hood. Understanding that chips in the hood are going to happen, nothing was heard hitting the hood while driving and the chip is all the way down to the metal. No dent...nothing.

Fast forward to 10,000 miles on the van and there are several paint chips, down to the metal, with no dents. Have at least six friends with Siennas who don't have this issue and drive the same roads at the same speeds under the same conditions. Mine is blizzard pearl, which I paid extra for since this is considered "premium paint." Dealership was not willing to entertain the idea at 600 miles or now, at 10,000 miles. This is not normal. My van I traded had almost 200,000 miles and was 10 years old and didn't have the chips in it from "normal wear and tear." When I told the rep at the dealership this, she said, "well, you're talking about older paint." Well, duh! You would think as cars evolve, the quality of the paint would as well.
