Rear axle seals leaking is apparently a common problem on the taco. The left side started leaking at about 80k and the local mechanic did it for $300 along with the bearings. The right started leaking 10k miles later, and the same mechanic couldn't do it because apparently they were disassembling it and taking it to the dealer because of some special service tools required. I ended up taking it to the dealer which cost $700.
