I had an '08 Tundra, which accelerated for about a 3 second burst, then went back to normal. I called Toyota, and they told me it was the floormats. So i took out the floormats, and about a week later got a recall notice about the floormats. Several months later, with the floormats gone, it happened again....almost causing me to crash into a tree as i was going 10mph down my driveway. I called Toyota, and they again talked about floormats. I told them that's what they said the last time, and my floormats were gone now. They told me it must have been something else not related to the vehicle. Then all the recall issues came out, and after long talks on the phone with them and nothing resolved...I gave the truck up, not wanting myself or my family to be in a dangerous vehicle.
Now theyre coming after the debt after the voluntary repo. One would think they were in violation of contract for providing an unsafe vehicle, and because of their issues with their vehicles, how could the Tundra get a fair price at auction? Any ideas or suggestions?
