Towne Toyota in Ledgewood New Jersey had a bulletin from Toyota dated Jan.2010 that explained a problem with water on the front or rear carpets of the vehicle due to the HVAC evaporator drain becoming blocked by debris. An improved cowl panel has been made available to help prevent debris from entering the the HVAC unit. Well according to the dealership my daugher's 2007 Yaris Sedan needed a new cowl and of course it wasn't covered under the warranty which is 36000 miles because her car has 59000. This problem has been going on for awhile and when we picked the car up it was still wet and that is after $836.00.
I put a stop payment on the check and will be calling the dealer tomorrow. #1 This problem should be under the warranty and the extended warranty as well. No customer should have to pay anything for this problem to be fixed. I have always owned a toyota and am very unhappy with the service.
