Vehicle was serviced at 180K by VW dealership; a premium service was selected; engine light came on as I was taking it in; the vehicle previously did turn off while on the highway on its own which then needed to be restarted. The car jerked as if my spark plugs were having issues. Have had to change spark plugs frequently compared to normal wear and tear. I was told it was the air/cam sensor (as a recommendation from the dealership) the car had been running sluggish but normal prior to it getting serviced. The car was ready for pick up and engine light was cleared. Car was driven about 35mi from dealership to place of residence. Car performed normal. Next day went to turn on the vehicle and it would not start. It did start long enough that I could use my own code reader the vehicle had 15 errors according to the reader. I let the car sit for a month before I could tow it to the dealership where it was serviced. VW is now saying they don't know what is wrong with the vehicle. Camshaft is what they are looking at. Another possibility VW explains is massive engine failure.

My car was on a large blvd with other cars in motion when all of a suden with out notice just completely shut off. This was not the first time it happened it happened many times before. I take it to the dealership to fix the problem and no results I still have the same problem. I fear for my life I feel like my car is a death trap and one day a big tragedy can occur dew to the fact that the dealership fails to provide the right service. It's an ongoing situation for many years with no results. I received a recall on June 2018 for a fuel pump control module, dealership assured me that was the reason why the vehicle was shutting off in motion they installed the fuel pump control module on July 2018 and problem still occurring.

Fuel pump control module replaced and relocated on July 18th, 2018. However, on August 3rd, 2018, while driving alone in the #4 lane of the freeway, my car suddenly stopped. No warning. No chugging. The engine just stopped. Fortunately, there was enough traffic for the vehicles behind me to slow down to avoid me. I immediately turned my hazard lights on while desperately trying to get the car to turn back on. Thankfully it did within a minute or two giving me just enough time to cut across the highway to pull off to the side of the road. I immediately called the service department at my local dealership to inform them of what happened and they were perplexed and told me to take it to the nearest VW dealership if the engine light wasn't flashing, which at the time it wasn't. that dealership turned me away and told me I should be able to make it to my regular dealership. I was only able to drive about 10 more miles before my car completely shut off and would not start. I had my car towed to my regular dealership where they believe it may be the fuel pump. Since I had the recall completed prior, I am very fearful that I won't be so lucky next time. Had traffic been going at the regular speed, I believe I would have been seriously injured or dead. I need to be reassured that these recalls are done right and tested to ensure there aren't faulty parts and that safety is paramount.

Wiring harness running through the trunk area of the vehicle is routed in such a manner that opening and closing the trunk causes the insulation to chafe, resulting in a short circuit which causes the trunk to open without warning while the vehicle is in motion and the tail/brake lights to cease functioning properly.

Vehicle will stall out while driving or pulling out from a stopped position. It is very dangerous as it does this on a daily basis. My daughter had it stall out on the interstate while giving it gas to pass another vehicle. She was in the middle of the interstate sitting there and called 911. The vehicle restarted but put her in a very dangerous position on a busy interstate. There is a recall on the fuel pump and electrically that was issued a year ago -- however there are no parts to fix it they say. We have not been notified of any parts. I have called VW and they said that if I took it to a dealer for diagnosis they might could help with financial assistance. I took it to the dealer and they said there was no code indicating that the fuel pump problem existed. However, I explained that the car is doing exactly what the recall says is happening. I am so frustrated and feel that VW is putting our family at risk on a daily basis. We need this part and repair done on our car immediately. Waiting over a year when a known problem exist is just not right -- when this can put a life at risk. If the car stalls out pulling out in front of another vehicle or going down the road on a busy interstate when giving it gas to pass a vehicle is just a horrific accident waiting to happen. Numerous lives could be impacted.

My vehicle had comlete loss of motive power while in motion, I let it roll to the side of the road and shut it off by taking the key out of the ignition. After restarting it it seemed to run fine, I was only 5 minuets away from home. Second incident happened on my way to work in morning rush hour on the highway, same situation accrued. After waiting a minute to restart it worked fine. After this happened on a daily basis I timed how long my car would run before it would happen again, it ran for 14 min and would loose all motive power, all other power worked fine, like lights, radio and so on. I then went on the Volkswagen website and researched the problem, coming to find out there is a recall on my problem. My vehicle was always in motion when it happened, on highway, side roads. I was lucky not to get hit or come to a comlete stop in the center of an intersection!!! I took my car to a VW repealer and explained my finding and gave them the recall number 20ae, they fixed it by replacing the fuel pump controll module, due to the module being bad I also had to get new fuel pump.

I just recently bought my very 1st. Used 2010 Volkswagen Cc. After I bought it, I realized that the master window switch on the drivers side doesn't work. The car is showing only 45,000 miles on it. So I would have to reach over to the passenger side door, to get the window to roll up. Also, my heater isn't working. I hear the fan running at different speeds, but only coolair coming out. On top of that, the fabric on the headliner is coming down. I found out that in order to replace the headliner, you have to get the front windshield removed to get the headliner out. Ridiculous! car manufacturers have been around for many years. Car have got faster and safer throughout the years, but the headliners still fall down. It's not acceptable! use better adhesive, better material. Take more pride in your product.

Horn has stopped working. Dealer is saying that the repair needed is replacement of the clock spring, which has not been replaced yet on this car, and was not part of the previous clock spring recall (15V483000). Car has had a mild scraping sound around the steering wheel since I got it at 12,500 miles, which is a known symptom of clock spring problems. Currently car has 105000 miles. The takata airbag recall service was performed very recently, within the last month. There is no error light on currently, airbag or otherwise. But I cannot pass state inspection without the horn working. Due to the original reason for the clock spring recall on this model, I am concerned that the airbag may not be working properly, and additionally, that the car is less safe for not having a horn. I was not notified to get service for the previous recall, despite having a model that was known to have problems.

I had my clock spring replaced last year due to the recall, then my airbag light went on and my steering wheal started doing a clicking sound when I steer to the left or right all control panels on my steering wheel stopped functioning including the horn. I called Volkswagen and they said that they would charge me $150 to access the car, I told them about clock spring and they said that I would have to pay to get that fixed. I really don't find this fair that I have to pay to get something fixed that originally wasn't done correctly I think that they should take more responsibility for their workmanship. Also my seatbelt claps docent work I called them to see if this is something that they would fix being a safety issue and they said no. I think that all car companies should be responsible for seatbelt and airbag issues on a car. Not everyone has the money to replace seatbelt clasp and many people live day by day on there paycheck.

The "steering column lock defective" message is common in the 2009-2010 VW Cc model, VW issued a recall that expired on February 28, 2013. This is a serious safety issue that can cause the car to stall in transit. VW should issue a safety recall on this issue and to ensure human safety. My vehicle just started to display the message when the season changed, from my understanding it's a common issue that VW fails to take full responsibility for and instead shifts the costs of a known defect to its customers.

When either slowing down or coming to a stop my car starts jerking, I attempt to accelerate and I cannot, my car seems to going into a neutral state. The drive (D) gear flashes so I am stuck. I have to put my car into park (P) turn off my car in the middle of traffic then turn it back on to drive. Also, if I am in the drive (D) gear and I need to go in reverse (R) I have to put into park (P) then turn it off and then move into the reverse (R) gear. This started happening intermittently, I took it to VW and they didn't see anything wrong with it. I took it to the local O'reillys and they saw a P2711 code, I took it to a local transmission repair and they told me they get a lot of these complaints and suggested I report it to you.I I also called the VW dealership in tallahassee fl where I purchased my car they told me it could cost anywhere from $5000 to $1100 to fix. In my research I saw the same thing happened in australia where a lady died because the gear shifted from drive into neutral while she was driving. I am afraid for my safety and my daughters who ride with me. VW needs to recall the dsg transmission and implement a fix.

Clock spring recall recently my airbag light went on and when I make a turn with a steering wheel rotation of over 270* my horn will go off, I also only have intermittent use of the steering wheel controls to my instrumentation. There is a recall on the year and make of my car for the clock spring, however my VIN is not included. The signs point to a defective clock spring to which I lost the functionality of my airbag and the electronic functionality of my steering wheel. I called VW service department and they said my vehicle is not covered under the recall so there is no need to bring it in. I really don't feel safe operating this vehicle considering there has been an open recall involving the takata recall for well over a year. (VW told me that they will contact me when parts are available to fix). This happened when I made a left turn into a parking spot, the airbag light when on and it said "service airbag".
