Bought a brand new VW, first I've ever had. Not even two weeks of receiving my BRAND NEW CAR, it overheats on motorway going 110klms/hr. And I was in the fast lane, car slowed right down. Had to turn my hazards on and try to negotiate without causing an accident to the left shoulder to pull over. Called VW assist and even they were shocked at what was happening. Then had to call my boss as I was on my way to work.
Waited over an hour for tow truck. Had a traffic assist guy stop, he thought it was odd seeing a BRAND NEW CAR with hazards on. He thought I ran out of petrol. Finally after 1.5 hours tow truck arrives. Then after trying to tell him the car won't start at all, finally loaded the car on the truck and I was dropped off at the nearest safest service station. Then I had to call VW assist again to organize transport to work. Then waited another hour for a taxi to take me to work 40 minutes away. Then at work I had to organize with the dealership where I got my car from for a loan car. They wanted me to pick it up, funny I had no car. After plenty of arguments they agreed to have someone drop me a loan car at work. Then I spent another two hours arguing that I want a NEW CAR that I paid for, not to have this one repaired after not even two weeks of having it. I was told I was being ridiculous. Then after missing out on 5.5 hours of pay, no one wanted to discuss how I was going to get compensated for the work that I loss. Turned out my 1.5 week old car had a CRACKED HEAD HOSE. Please tell me how this is possible?
hen I picked up my brand new car they couldn't explain how 30kilometres was on the clock. Well I guess when it sits and someone obviously took it for a joyride. Then I complained to head office and spoke to a lady by the name of Jana. She was hopeless. No compensation yet for the loss of hours. I am causal so I not only was inconvenienced, I lost income as well.
Must say I'm not liking my choice of car at all. Then after receiving my car back after a week. It just didn't ride well. Many noises, took it back another three times. It's funny, the guy that brought my loan car to my work, said VW should have offered my another BRAND NEW CAR since it had only been 1.5 weeks of having it. So did the guy Tyson from VW Southport Service Centre, but it wasn't up to them, it was up to the dealership who sold it to me. Which they disagreed, and apparently a CRACKED HEAD HOSE does happen often that we think. YES but on BRAND NEW CARS? GERMAN MADE CARS?
