The contact owns a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated intermittently when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the diagnostic monitoring machine indicated the high pressure fuel pump was faulty. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the diagnostic machine also indicated the same failure. Since the vehicle did not experience the failure while at the dealer, the contact was informed that no repairs would be performed. In addition, the contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 14V656000 (suspension). After taking to the vehicle to the dealer, the contact was informed that no repairs would be done, even though the rear end sustained visible damage. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 50,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. While stopped at a gas station, the rear axle dislocated from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was serviced under NHTSA campaign number:14V656000 (suspension). In addition, the technician informed that the rear passenger wheel wiring harness, speed sensor, the ABS traction control, and the SRS warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,800.
