Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Suddenly, without warning for no apparent reason the car will not start. The starter cranks, there is plently of juice, the engine malfunction light flickers and makes a clicking noise, but the engine does not turn over at all. This car runs perfectly 95% of the time but 5 or 6 times in the past year I had this starting problem. Once the car had to be towed, it couldn't even be jump started! The other times the car eventually started in anywhere from 5 to 90 minutes. The dealer can't diagnose the problem and VW America has no idea either! I'm thinking about selling the car if a solution can't be found.
