Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Coil problem with my 2002 Passat. The car has 10,000 miles and was in the shop for 3 weeks. VW replaced 1 coil, but there is a strong possiblility that the other 3 will go, too. VW needs to do a recall since the car loses acceleration when the coil goes.

My 2002 Volkswagen Passat has an ignition coil problem that causes it to misfire and lose power. The car was in a VW service center for more than 2 weeks. After receiving the car back from the dealer the problem has exhibited itself again. VW can't guarantee the problem will be permanently fixed.
