My Passat seems to have continuous problem. Engine mount leak at 68K, Ignition switch blow out, sun visor blow out, and rear disk worn out without any warning at 30k. Sagging interior and broken radio knob is called common problem. a piece of that knob plastic is $9. Cannot believe this. Lucky me doesn't have engine sludge issue. The ignition coil under my passat hood are 3rd generation now. It is so nice to drive this car when it is not in the shop, and very heart breaking to see the bill for repair work .

Sometimes I think VW has better engineers than TOYOTA, and they make sure everything falling apart right after warranty.
