Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2004 Volvo V70. While driving at 45 mph, the vehicle decelerated and came to a complete stop. The contact mentioned that the steering wheel was difficult to steer and the engine light illuminated. The vehicle was able to restart. The failure recurred six times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pressure sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 07V226000 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000. MA 10/5

I was driving at about 35 mph. When I slowed down to make a 90 degree right turn, without warning the engine and power steering went off as I was turning. I had to manually steer the car and luckily did not crash because there was no car in the opposite lane. I pulled over to the side of the road, restarted the car, and received no error message. I took the car to the local Volvo dealer where they could find nothing wrong and deny this is a recall issue.

Took car to dealer on March 18, 2009, after noticing a bumping when traveling down the highway. Dealer advised me steering was leaky and replaced line in the hose fp no. 30776291 (pipe set) this did not solve the problem. (invoice $368.93) on May 13, 2009, returned car to dealer - the leak still there. Dealer replaced - shaft seal leaking on rack fp no. 36002364-2 and fp no. 30741950-7 (invoice $1425.96).

Problems with vehicle pulling to the right while driving. The problem was so-called corrected, but the front end alignment problem returned. The vehicle had been to the dealer 4-5 times to correct the steering safety issue. On the last visit, the left front mcpherson strut spring was changed.
