Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety. Notes: The 2007 XC90 got a facelift -- the good kind, not the "hollywood" kind -- and has so far not had the same transmission problems that a few owners of previous model years have complained about.

problem #1

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200 miles

Air condition went out under 200 miles, said they fixed it. 1,000 miles rotors had to be replaced. 3,000 miles car over heated, they could not trace a problem, 1 week latter car caught on fire. Towed to Volvo dealer ship. They said car did not catch on fire. That air conditioning fan needed to be replaced. Asked for a computer print out, they refused to give it out, they said they erased it.
