My battery died on March 17th and the car was towed to the dealership, where it stayed until April 2nd. The service department wasn't able to find the problem. The battery died again on May 3'rd and the car was towed again to the dealership. It was returned today 5/09/2013, with the same conclusion from the service department ''there is nothing wrong with the car." This is the 4th time this has happened since January.

There has to be a problem and I am annoyed that it has not been resolved. I have a car that I don't feel is reliable to take further than the supermarket. I had to disappoint my grandson because the dealership had my car during the time that I was suppose to pick him up for spring break, more importantly, I wasn't able to attend the funeral of my nephew this week because I didn't have my car. I received a call late morning from a driver from Lexus advising me that he was ready to return my car, I have had no communication with the service department since Sunday and Monday at which time the calls were initiated by me.

I requested to speak with the service adviser to request an update on his findings. The response was the same, ''we didn't find anything wrong". The only suggestion he had for me was to make sure the key was at least 15ft away from the car. According to him, the car could be searching for the keys which could cause the battery to die. I found that a bit amusing because, I dropped my key in my 2009 Lexus and wasn't able to find it. I notified the driver when it was picked up for service that the key was in the car, it had been there several months. I've assured the service department that I am not leaving the doors open, lights on, nor am I leaving the key in the car. I'm not sure what to do next, my new car shouldn't die after nine months!!!!

I purchased my 2013 Lexus GS 350 in April 2013, I have under 3000, miles. My battery died in January this year. Roadside came and jump started it for me, It lasted for approximately three weeks, Lexus roadside came and replaced the battery at which time I was informed that there was a defect in some of the batteries in the 2013’s, and was assured that I would have no more problems. Three weeks later the battery died again.

It was towed to the dealership where it stayed for 15 days, I was told at that time it was the alternator, later that a specialist was being flown in from Atlanta to look at it, finally told that no repairs were necessary, they weren’t able to find anything wrong with it. The problem could be resulting from not driving the car for long periods of time or leaving the keys in the car, as per the service manager at Lexus. I drive my car on an average of three times per week, never leave my keys inside the car nor do I leave any lights on………3Xs in 3 months…………Not very happy with LEXUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
