Brought in car for brake light coming on. They said it was due to the front pads being 3/4 worn after 17,000 miles. Service manager said this is typical for these cars, we may be able to get another 5-6,000 out of the pads. And to top it off, the rotors have to be replaced as well. Guy says they will warp if you don't replace with new. The whole problem is ridiculous. A new car less than a year old should not need new brakes at 17,000. Rear brakes, rotors and hardware were replaced at 9,000. Not satisfied with car, brakes or Mazda.
