Well, at first I thought it was the water pump, then after couple minutes of research I found out it is a very common issue. A tip if you want to repair this is, don't go to the dealership, go to a show that knows their way around the engine because they will buy a coolant pipe with seals that can be installed in half the time of the OEM BMW pipe that involves taking apart pretty much everything. These easier to install coolant pipes cost around $250 the install will obviously vary by shop.

Coolant return tube leak through engine valley, under intake manifold. Coolant exits through weep-hole in

water pump. Dealership says it is a 35 hour fix they can do in 25 hours but charge for full 35 hours at $120/hr!
