I manage a fleet of 15, 2011-2012 Chevrolet Colorados. It seems that as the vehicles reach just over 100K miles the exhaust manifolds crack. Of course they are no longer under warranty. The last one I put in the shop was going to cost $1100 for the removal and replacement of the manifold.

It is not a coincidence when I have four of the vehicles needing the same repair.

There is no warranty for the manifold after a certain point for commercial use, (such as being primary transportation for a cable installer). That is how GM is sneaking their way out of the repair costs and parts replacement. I am a fleet mechanic in Michigan, and our company has roughly 30+ Colorado Trucks. 2010-2012 years and all of the trucks I service have had cracked manifolds. Stay away from the trucks, buy a Ford Ranger. Much better quality, easier to work on and cheaper to purchase parts.
