I have a 2013 Equinox ( I bought new) and a lot rust accumulates on the front brakes if not driven for about a week. After a week, to get the vehicle to move, I have to really press on the gas pedal. I complained to the dealership and was told this is normal. I was told if I drive the vehicle every day this would not happen. The Equinox is a vacation vehicle so it is not driven often. I have had several vehicles over the years and this is the first time I have seen so much rust on the brakes. I also had a 2006 Equinox for seven years and sometimes it was parked for a few months and I have never had this problem.
I told the dealership sub-standard material was used to manufacture the brakes. I am taking the vehicle to the dealership for an inspection next week.( I hope they replace the brakes).
If anyone out there have had this problem with a 2013 Equinox PLEASE advice.
Thanks
