Regarding 2000 Chevrolet Impala ls VIN [xxx]. my local dealer wants to replace the side impact airbag for a considerable fee. I believe per recall #00V371000 that this should fall under this recall as it is exhibiting the same symptoms as the recalled airbags, however GM has not marked this car for recall, and refuses to pay for the airbag replacement. The dealership describes the problem as, "code B0041 LH frt side deployment loop open. Needs LH side air bag module replaced." Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
