My dash is not near as bad as many others. Mine has the cracking by passenger airbag. I installed a dash cover by Coverlay for $180 to cover the problem but it doesn't look right. For how much these trucks cost new this is unacceptable that the dash would crack. I have seen others that are much worse. I want GM to pay for my dash to be repaired the right way by a body shop. The fact this is happening on all the 2007-2013 Sierra Silverado YUKON Yukon XL Tahoe and Suburban in that area is inexcusable. A recall needs to be issued and GM fix it before it results in airbag malfunction contributing to potentially death.

I have a very large crack on the dash around the passenger side air bag, which if the air bag was to deploy it would send plastic shrapnel hitting the passenger which could seriously injure or cause death, General Motors needs to fix this free of charge, due to this being a common problem.

I called the GM main office on my concern, I bought this used and had about eight months when the dash started cracking on the passenger side around the airbag. They set me up an appointment at the dealer I bought it from. After setting in the waiting room for two hours, the service writer brought me a write up saying that Chevy is not responsible. Their part is $00.000 and my part to repair would be $1035.00. I was in total shock. WHY I asked???? She stated it was due to my driving habits????? No longer a Chevy/ GM customer.
