CarComplaints.com Notes: Since the Chrysler 200 first hit the streets, owners across the U.S. have complained about how their “dream car” quickly turned into a complete nightmare because of how the engine dies suddenly while driving.
Live in MI, weather can be 90 one day and 40 the next. It was an above average day in May and had to turn the air on, it was pushing out hot air. Husband recharged it and it worked until July of same year (2016). Took into mechanic to see if there was a leak, no leak, they added a lb of freon and recharged again ($116.00). 2 weeks later, it's out and pushing hot air during the hottest summer we've had here in a LONG time! took back to mechanic and they said it's the condenser, needs to be replaced for $320.00
The vehicle is nothing but a bag of problems. The a/c quit working just the other day and with no warning, I had it checked at a local shop considering the local dealership charges an arm and a leg just for the diagnostic. It didn't take very long for the mechanic to find it. This really pisses me off that these manufacturers continue to reap dollar after dollar while I lose my ass. The vehicle has lost considerable worth and has put me upside down considerably! With no re-course but to bitch at some one high up in a luxurious corner office focusing on nothing more than having his thousand dollars shoes spit shined!
