I purchased my 2013 Chrysler S 200 in January 2014. Two months after I had the car, a noise began to start in the rear and it wasn't metal on metal but a loud moaning type noise which is annoying. I took the car into Rancho Jeep Chrysler in San Diego, CA only to be told that I needed to recreate the issue. Told them in order to do that, they would have to keep car because it only does when it is cold or been sitting for a few hours. Car has semi-metallic brakes. Took the car back into the dealer to have the noise checked out again only to be told it is a Chrysler issue and they can't do a thing.

While in shop they did an inspection on the brakes only to advise me that the rotors have black spots on them and need to be resurfaced. Car only has 24K miles on it. I am not rough on brakes at all and 95% of my driving is freeway driving. Took the car for two more opinions at other places and was told you can't resurface without replacing the pads which is the issue. If you do this, the issue will occur again. Was also told by both other shops that this was too premature for rotors to contain black spots and need resurfacing and that the issue was with the lousy parts Chrysler utilizes on their cars. This is the second time I have brought the car into Rancho Jeep Chrysler in San Diego and to date, no help or assistance at all. The car is still under warranty. Also experienced lousy customer service by this dealer.
