The morons at Dodge didn't line up the box at the factory. I'd had it about a month when I was washing it and saw that there were paint chips on the front corner behind the passenger side door. The dealer realigned the box but refused to do anything about the paint chips on my Brand New Truck. I knew BEFORE I factory ordered the truck that the transmissions weren't very good and opted for the 1year bumper to bumper and 7 year 100,000KM powertrain warranty over the 3 year 60,000KM bumper to bumper. So I drove the out of it knowing that both the 318 engine and the Dana 60 rear-end could take anything I could put them through and blew the tranny at 75,000 KM's. Although I must admit that the failure probably had more to do with one of their tech's overfilling the tranny than anything I did. IT COST Chrysler $8,000.00 JUST FOR THE PARTS, To rebuild the tranny.

I told the dealer there was only one mechanic I would allow to do the rebuild. I was lucky enough to have grown up with him and knew he was an experienced class A mechanic and not one of their BS "Technicians" that I wouldn't let change a tire. He did a great job. As soon as I pulled the truck out of the shop I went for a quick ride to warm up the tranny and the shifting was all screwed up. I went back to the shop popped the hood to check the fluid And Guess What? Once again the tranny was way to full AGAIN.

UNBELIEVABLE THEY HAD JUST SPENT OVER $10K REBUILDING A TRANSMISSION THAT BLEW BECAUSE IT WAS OVERFILLED BY THEIR TECHNICIAN AND SENT IT OUT WITH THE TRANSMISSION SO FULL IT WAS ALMOST TO THE TOP OF THE FILLER TUBE.

I WONDER WHY THEY LOSE MONEY EVERY YEAR AFTER YEAR.
