Dodge durango 2005 transmission was replaced at 100,000. Once that was replaced 4WD service light appeared and switching sounds under the truck started. The truck locked into place and could not move. I went into 4WD automatically and when I went to seach problems online I came across hundreds of the same complaints. Please check out https://www.cargurus.com/cars/discussion-T4148_ds482593 I am speechless and very afraid of driving this car.

While the vehicle is in the running and operational position, aka driving down the road, the key can be removed, by simply pulling it out of the ignition, and the vehicle will remain running, and then there is no way to shut the vehicle off. The ignition switch has been faulty since I bought the vehicle. I am amazed no one has been injured, and even more surprised no recalls for this issue.

Summary: On certain pickup trucks equipped with four-wheel antilock brake systems (ABS), the ABS electronic control unit (ECU) may cause a loss of front to rear brake balance, and the rear brakes could lock up prematurely during certain braking conditions.
