A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

The trouble started when i was hiting a bump, in montreal road are pretty dirty so when the problem was occuring all lights was coming on and off. ( ABS , Traction control , Ser 4WD, ).

I first did go to a friend garage he had the lastest snap on scanner but not a real technician troubleshooting. scanned it then it was showing bad speed sensor in the rear left whell.

order the speed sensor, changed it, then go back on road and seemed to have solve the problem, but 2 days later, same problem occur. i didnt wanted to go back see my friend garage because i didnt likes the experience there so i went to another one for another scan, telling me it was the speed sensor again.

looked up connector, had some shrink on it already so we order a new connector and changed it,

2 days later, same problem....

I went to another garage, put a scan on it, found nothing in memory, no code, nothing., because when i stop the truck, and start it again and moove a bit, it clear all lights and everything seem normal. so the garage tell me to come back when all lights are on. what ive done 2 days later, scanned it and its was telling it was still the left speed sensor..... they troubleshooted it because the connector was new and speed sensor and found out it was a broken wire about 2 feet after the connection it was broken just a little bit inside the plastic so we couldnt see it.... they changed a part of the wire and it then worked well for 10 days about...

then the same problem started again and again and again.... i went to this garage again,,, couldnd find any code in memory nothing,,, go to another garage, could not find anything...

Then i wend to dodge.... put the scan on it,,, found nothing.... they tell me to come back when all lights are on. also when its doing on and off all light while on highway it shut down my speed for half second and it give a hard kick then all lights go off and come to normal, then again and then they stay on. so i went back to dodge.

they found out it was the right speed sensor, changed the connector and the speed sensor.

2 days later, same problem...

go back to dodge, another dodge dealer, explaining again and again ans starting over again and again....

he put grease electrical in both connector at the rear end in each speed sensor connector.

then found a small wire some where that had no link for my speed sensor but the rear flasher he told me, and charge another 200 for that, after a road test, could not find anything, we had the scanner on it and everything was ok...

1 days later, same problem, as soon it had snow, now its getting worse,, while parked, my speed went up and i could hear my engine reving but not the rpm. and all lights on and off, on and off, on and off so many times, then i started to drive, everything was ok..... then 2 min later while driving straight and it started again , all lights came on, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON, lot of money put in this so far... and its kinda dangerous, when i press the brake sometimes and the lights are freaking brake abs is f*cked up etc. its kinda a nightmare

Thanks to read this, sorry for my broken english im french.

21,000 km's and a module is dead - what kind of P.O.S. did I buy here. I did own an F-150, and I drove it to 312,000km's with only one significant event at around 180,000kms!! I am more disappointed with the dealership / service(DILAWRI, in Ottawa, CA). I have to bring it there, I had to arrange a ride home, I had to arrange a ride back to work, now to go pick it up , cause they have to ORDER THE PART. Obviously take it back to have said part installed, for a F@#$ing sensor. The only experience that was worse than this, was actually buying the truck in the frist place. BIG pressure sale, ultimatums etc... the only reason I bought there, was because they were the only one's in the area that had exactly what I wanted(due to the truck plant shutdown), no more 09's were being built. Lots of B.S. and I hope this isn't a sign of things to come - I bought a new truck not to put up with this sh*t.
