CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Ford Edge has a trend of the engine dying while driving, which is typically considered a safety issue.

Owners report the stalling while driving problem is caused by the throttle body needing replacement. The problem typically occurs at low mileage & so the issue has been covered under warranty -- although by now, the 2015 Edge is generally past the full warranty period.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. The contact stated that when she turns off the vehicle after driving and later attempts to restart, the vehicle would fail to start and the steering wheel would seize. The contact stated that the vehicle would indicate that there was a system reset, and the failure would reoccur. A jump start was required in order to start the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle would drive normally for a few days, and the failure would reoccur. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who checked the battery and alternator, which they found no issue with. The contact stated the dealer then advised her that there was a recall with the same failure she was experiencing on her same year, make, and model vehicle NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V733000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL), however, her vehicle was not included in the recall. The contact stated that she contacted the manufacturer and was advised to contact NHTSA. The failure mileage was 75,000

Service advance trac light, hill start assist, traction control, wrench light, airbag light and break light all come one simultaneously. Gets stuck on parking break while in park and power steering goes out while driving. Spent over $700 with local for dealership trying to fix it. After it being in the shop the for 3 weeks the same thing started happening a few hours after pickup. The dealership claims that Ford knows about the issue but their isn't just a one all fix all. Other Ford models has had the same issues in the past and had recalls on them. Need this issue fixed!! it's been like this since the day that I purchased it (8/13/2019) from the big red Kia in norman.

We had had a problem for over a year.the ac makes loud noises and cuts out and stops working it will speed up slow down with no touching.the bluetooth doesn't work properly and the phone doesn't sink or drops calls.the check engine light comes on!!!!we first took to our local dealership kelly Ford im melbourne they couldn't get it to fail.gave us the car back and were rude, my wife called customer care and made a complaint and nothing was done.we then sent videos of the issues. To the dealership we bought from which is 2 hours drive South of else delrare Ford.we drove there and showed the sales manager and service manager the car in the failed condition as we didnt shut car off and pulled into the service station after again sending text of videos on our drive down of the failing.they kept the car for over 5 days and again said they couldnt get it to fail when they restarted later.we were furious.we have again had to continue to drive this car paying almost $400 a month and no one will fix...or give us another car.its a lease.we phoned customer care again they gave us a case number and said contact palm bay Ford and quote the case number if they didnt not fix the car or give a replacement until it was fixed we could end the lease early. The car has stalled while driving.the ac and fan vibrate so load and go from super fast to slow and then shuts off all while driving.we are scared to drive!!!!

I was driving 55 mph and car power dropped to coasting and I had to pull off the road. The oil indicator came on. I called triple a and then tried to reset the oil light to reset and the car started again with power. Cancelled triple a. car was not reset after oil change. I could have been rear ended!! really scared me.

Throttle body. Ford Edge titanium new car - have for roughly 6 months - 10,000 mileage driving on highway doing 65 - 70 miles an hour. Car makes a beep noise and a large wrench appears in the left screen on the dashboard. No ability to use gas pedal which is now locked up - cannot press down. Car is slowing down. Only options to go to side of road and turn off. Car can be restarted. Take to dealership asap (happens again on the way - this time only driving approximately 30 miles an hour). Dealership says it is the throttle body and they have ordered part to repair. Been without a car for a week. Still awaiting for dealership to repair.
