Explorer XLT V6

  • Automatic transmission

Multi-function display in center console not working correctly. Sections of the touch screen unresponsive. Many functions now unusable. Master reset no help, battery disconnect/reconnect no help. Tried to order a new screen, Ford says "Unavailable/discontinued item". This vehicle is only five years old and already Ford is no longer supporting it? I have been a Ford guy for many years but this is the last new Ford I will ever buy!

Explorer Sport

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50 miles

I have a 2014 Ford Explorer Sport. I purchased it in July 2014 and it had 50 miles on it. Since August, the MyFord Touch and the SYNC system have been intermittent. I love the feature to be able to change the ambient lighting in the interior of the car; when it works. Usually, I select the color and it stays that color for about a day...maybe 2. Then, it reverts back to the standard ice blue color. Additionally, the Touch screen often blinks in and out and sometimes it even blacks out the bottom half or third of the entire screen. I am current on all the updates. On another forum, someone mentioned TSB 14-0175 which acknowledges that there is an ongoing issue with the ambient lighting. It doesn't sound like there's a fix for it yet.
