Speedometer, Tachometer, gas gauge, and other dials in the instrument panel are nearly impossible to see in low light conditions. I just bought this used truck to haul my horse trailer. While on the first camping trip it was very distracting and dangerous to stare at the panel trying unsuccessfully to read my speed on the highway while driving in cloudy and rainy conditions!
The truck is a GREAT truck just need to have the dash lights during the day with as dark as the dash is, I have had it at the dealer and was told that this is how they work, during the day unless you cover the sensor and make it think it is dark you will have no dash lights, You do not get the dash lights to come on when you manually turn on the light switch which again I was told that that is how it is.
I just want to know if this is right and the reason the company would design such a set-up in a GREAT FORD TRUCK?
