I have had my F150 a little over a year now. My sync has been acting up since the first week of purchase. I brought it in for repairs the first time and my dealer kept my vehicle for a few days and gave me a loaner car. the second time they blamed it on the navigation system that they had installed, once again they kept the truck I was still paying a note on for a few days pulled the navigation and placed it back in. a day after getting my vehicle back screen started blacking out again.
I found a work around. I would stop car, turn it off, open and closed door and wait a few seconds. This was better than paying a note on a vehicle that I couldn't drive. I did this for several months till it stopped working. I contacted ford and they blamed the dealer for the aftermarket navigation that they installed.
I took my truck back to the dealership. they pulled the navigation out and tested it. they told me to pick my truck up several days later without the navigation. The screen still blacks out and I do not have the navigation system which I paid for. I contacted my lawyer at the time and he said that there wasn't anything that he could do. so I have just been pissed until finding out about this site
