Just what the hell does it take to make things work? I thought Ford was better than this but evidently, like Chevy, if it costs $.10 extra we won't use it, the cheap one is fine. No wonder they haven't sold more new cars when crap like this is used and if problems don't cause fires, deaths or injuries they can keep getting by with inferior quality products in their cars… Owned Fords forever but they really suck in craftsmanship anymore, bite me Ford.

temperature knob stuck on, heat cable replaced still not working

2006 Focus ZX3-temp control knob stuck on "hell" setting, service tech @ FORD dealership said cable broken. Cable replaced, now knob moves freely but no heat? Hmm, service tech not sure what the problem is but says heater box ($800) needs to be replaced. Girl says-wow can't afford that and service tech (with a smirk) says you have all summer to save up for it!! It was demonstrated to me that knob is still not operating cable and was stated to me they don't really know why. HELP PLEASE
