Honda obviously overlooked this safety issue. There is sharp plastic under the shroud just behind the latch. My little finger became pinched between the latch and the shroud. The result was my little finger was badly cut and a portion of it came off. It was EXTREMELY painful. I probably should have gone to the emergency room but I did not have time because any delays and I would have been late for a meeting that I was driving to.
As a side note, I find it ironic that a company who prides itself on quality and great customer service does not have a complaint area on their corporate web site. If Honda would have had such a site, I would not have posted it here for all the world to see. When are companies going to wake up and interact with the customers as well as learn how they can improve the products.
In the big scheme of things, this is not a big deal, but I guarantee you, when you cut the end of your finger as bad as I did you will remember this next time I buy another car. It is especially insulting when companies do not give you a area to log your problem.
