2007 Honda Accord- eats tires, constant alignments, pulls to right or left. Don't feel safe driving it. Feels like I'm going to run off the road on the highway. Never again will I buy a Honda, what a piece of crap!!!! Like everything else, they don't make anything right anymore.

Accord EX-V6 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

I got a 2007 Honda accord EX-V6 fully loaded except for navigation the car performs great great power and loves to go high speeds especially on the highway the problem with this car is the steering when i first got the car new i noticed that it had a really bad turning like for making u turns and such i thought that it was because it has 17in rims and i had a 2004 accord that was almost the same car that had 16inch rims and no turning problems. then as time grew on i noticed that the handling sucked and did not change lanes well and also made bad u turns and regular turns and was also hard to park! almost like you have to turn the wheel so much too much! and when the wheel would not turn anymore you would have to back up horrible terrible steering it should handle better it should be much more sharp it seems like you have to turn the wheel way to much to do things and also the car does not drive straight hurts my back and my arms to keep the car in the lane! it seems like the cars steering has no center point no mater what i do the car does not drive straight! the handling sucks the steering sucks parking the car sucks worst handling car very uncomfortable to drive i would get rid of it but im gonna loose a lot of money because the car has too much negative equity it did not hold its value well. lets see what the dealer has to say about this i will keep everyone updated

(reported on)

Accord SE 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 62 miles

We bought the car in March, and only took it for a short drive. Thought it was fine. That evening after we brought it home, we had to go on a fairly lengthy trip. By the first hour of driving my wife had begun to complain that her arms were getting tired and that the car seemed to be handling awful. The weather was not great, and I blamed it on the weather conditions. Her drive to work is only short, so she got by for awhile but complained to HONDA, about the way the car handled. On the next trip she only made it about half an hour and started to complain, so I got out and checked things over like tires and what not, and noticed that both front tires were feathering the outside edges. It only had six thousand KMS, and to my horror the tires were half worn out. I was not listening to my wife, but really started.

When we got home we took it to our dealer and they aligned and realigned and said that nothing was wrong. To make a long story short we went through this 4 times. Nothing was changed. On our last trip, even though because of health issues I am not supposed to drive I decided to drive it. After just 77 miles, I was ready to get out of this thing, because on this type of country Canadian road, the backs of my arms were so tired that I could not drive anymore, and my wife had been complaining for 5 months or so.

The symptoms are such: There does not seem to be any neutral point on the steering wheel, and it either loads up the steering wheel to the right or left with enough force that a person would be terribly uncomfortable to drive it for any length of time. You cannot at any time let your attention leave the road or you may be into traffic or the ditch. They have told us this is normal for this model. If it is, some Mario Andretti bonehead engineer has made something of a blunder, because I have been a professional driver for most of my life, and I would not drive this another day, or make my Wife drive it. The tires are almost worn out on the edges as they are feathering both outsides, and it only has 11,000 KMS on it.

Will never buy anything HONDA again, because of an idiot at Honda Canada telling me that this car is perfectly safe. I also will not let my grandchildren drive in the sonofabitch because if something were to happen I would never forgive myself, but on the twentieth of this month before my next payment it will be left at the dealer for good, even though they don't like it and I will go buy something we can drive. I will not make another payment. There are also a couple of other complaints like windshield defrost and seats. We could live with that, and it regularly gives us better than 45 miles to the gallon, but they forgot we have to drive it . Thanks. Please let me know if anyone else has this complaint.
