My husband and I have, on separate occasions in heavy rain, both noticed very little difference between low and high speed wiper settings. On both occasions, visibility was difficult during these storms as a result of inadequate high wiper speed during rain storms. We both believed the high wiper setting was not operating correctly so I had this issue looked at on my car at Morehead Honda in Newburgh, NY. The Technicians could not find any defects but did compare my wiper speed in a 2016 HRV against a 2017 HRV high wiper setting and determined that this was how the car was made including the fact they noticed VERY little difference in wiper speed as they switched repeatedly between low and high speed wiper settings in both the 2017 model and my 2016 model. The Technician was not able to fix this problem saying it is a Honda design flaw in the HRV due to low voltage setting in the wiper speed. They suggested I file a complaint against Honda in the hope of having Honda offer a recall of all HRV's to remedy the safety concern in lack of effectiveness in visibility of the high wiper speed setting.
