There is a problem with my 2017 Elantra the dealership could not diagnose or repair. The front passenger seatbelt alarm and warning light is often enabled when no one or nothing is in the seat. The only way to disable the alarm is to buckle the seatbelt. I am very concerned about this because the seatbelt may fail when it is needed. I am not happy knowing there is a problem with the car the dealership cannot repair. I don't feel safe in the car because I am not confidant the seatbelts are properly working.

This is a design flaw that the dealer cannot fix. He went online and found hundreds of complaints. This item needs to be recalled. It is dangerous as, even if you rest your hand on the passenger seat, the bell will go off. In traffic it can scare you to death and can cause an accident.

Dealer tested the other cars on the lot. All of them do it. No person weighs only 5 pounds, unless they are a preemie, and no one should be stupid enough to put a baby n the front seat at all, much less without a 20 pound car seat.

This is a ridiculous issue and needs to be addressed by Hyundai.
